Thank you to our dedicated volunteer homeowners that volunteer their time to serve on all of our committees. Our association and volunteers are committed to uphold the standards of our community that make Tanoan a great place to live.
The Planning Committee meets on the
second Thursday of each month, at 7:30 a.m. in the association office located at 9820 Murifield Ct. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87111.
The deadline for submitting your request to be included on the agenda is noon on the Friday before the regularly scheduled meeting posted at both gates as reminders.
The purpose of the Planning Committee is to preserve, protect and enhance the value of property by maintaining and upgrading the integrity of our common areas and aesthetics. Only by insuring and enforcing the highest standards are we able to safeguard the value of your property investment. This way our community remains clean, attractive and desirable.
Are you planning on landscaping additions or changes, installing a satellite dish or giving some thought to adding a new room to your house? Please note that our CC&Rs require any additions, modification, changes to or removal from the exterior of your home, be approved in advance the Planning Committee. Please do not contract for any work until you have met these requirements.
Failure to do so will place you in jeopardy. You can be required to remove any and all non-permitted construction and/or replace modifications, plus be subject to fines by either or both the City and the Tanoan Community Association, Inc.. The requirement for approval by the Planning Committee is clearly outlined in the CC&Rs. The requirement for City permits is laid out in City by-laws, with which you should familiarize yourself before embarking on any project. Licensed contractors and reputable builders are well aware of City codes.
